3 Figlio mio, non dimenticare il mio insegnamento
e il tuo cuore custodisca i miei precetti,
2perché lunghi giorni e anni di vita
e tanta pace ti apporteranno.
3Bontà e fedeltà non ti abbandonino:
légale attorno al tuo collo,
scrivile sulla tavola del tuo cuore,
4e otterrai favore e buon successo
agli occhi di Dio e degli uomini.
5Confida nel Signore con tutto il tuo cuore
e non affidarti alla tua intelligenza;
6riconoscilo in tutti i tuoi passi
ed egli appianerà i tuoi sentieri.
7Non crederti saggio ai tuoi occhi,
temi il Signore e sta’ lontano dal male:
sarà tutta salute per il tuo corpo
e refrigerio per le tue ossa.
Onora il Signore con i tuoi averi
e con le primizie di tutti i tuoi raccolti;
10i tuoi granai si riempiranno oltre misura
e i tuoi tini traboccheranno di mosto.
11Figlio mio, non disprezzare l’istruzione del Signore
e non aver a noia la sua correzione,
12perché il Signore corregge chi ama,
come un padre il figlio prediletto.
Beato l’uomo che ha trovato la sapienza,
l’uomo che ottiene il discernimento:
14è una rendita che vale più dell’argento
e un provento superiore a quello dell’oro.
15La sapienza è più preziosa di ogni perla
e quanto puoi desiderare non l’eguaglia.
16Lunghi giorni sono nella sua destra
e nella sua sinistra ricchezza e onore;
17le sue vie sono vie deliziose
e tutti i suoi sentieri conducono al benessere.
È un albero di vita per chi l’afferra,
e chi ad essa si stringe è beato.
19Il Signore ha fondato la terra con sapienza,
ha consolidato i cieli con intelligenza;
20con la sua scienza si aprirono gli abissi
e le nubi stillano rugiada.
Figlio mio, custodisci il consiglio e la riflessione
né mai si allontanino dai tuoi occhi:
22saranno vita per te
e ornamento per il tuo collo

Infine, prendete forza dal Signore, dalla sua grande potenza. Prendete le armi che Dio vi dà, per poter resistere contro le manovre del *diavolo. Infatti noi non dobbiamo lottare contro creature umane, ma contro *spiriti maligni del mondo invisibile, contro autorità e potenze, contro i dominatori di questo mondo tenebroso. Prendete allora le armi che Dio vi dà, per combattere, nel giorno della lotta, le forze del male e per saper resistere fino alla fine. Preparatevi dunque! Vostra cintura sia la verità, vostra corazza siano le opere giuste e sandali ai vostri piedi sia la prontezza per annunziare il messaggio di pace del *Vangelo. Sempre tenete in mano lo scudo della fede con cui potete spegnere le frecce infuocate del Maligno. Prendete anche il vostro elmo, cioè la salvezza, e la spada dello *Spirito Santo, cioè la *parola di Dio. Pregate sempre: chiedete a Dio il suo aiuto in ogni occasione e in tutti i modi, guidati dallo Spirito Santo. Perciò state svegli e non stancatevi mai di pregare per tutto il popolo di Dio e anche per me. Pregate perché Dio mi faccia trovare parole decise con cui far conoscere la verità del suo messaggio.

18 Diceva loro una parabola sulla necessità di pregare sempre, senza stancarsi mai: 2″In una città viveva un giudice, che non temeva Dio né aveva riguardo per alcuno. 3In quella città c’era anche una vedova, che andava da lui e gli diceva: “Fammi giustizia contro il mio avversario”. 4Per un po’ di tempo egli non volle; ma poi disse tra sé: “Anche se non temo Dio e non ho riguardo per alcuno, 5dato che questa vedova mi dà tanto fastidio, le farò giustizia perché non venga continuamente a importunarmi””. 6E il Signore soggiunse: “Ascoltate ciò che dice il giudice disonesto. 7E Dio non farà forse giustizia ai suoi eletti, che gridano giorno e notte verso di lui? Li farà forse aspettare a lungo? 8Io vi dico che farà loro giustizia prontamente. Ma il Figlio dell’uomo, quando verrà, troverà la fede sulla terra?”.
Disse ancora questa parabola per alcuni che avevano l’intima presunzione di essere giusti e disprezzavano gli altri: 10″Due uomini salirono al tempio a pregare: uno era fariseo e l’altro pubblicano. Il fariseo, stando in piedi, pregava così tra sé: “O Dio, ti ringrazio perché non sono come gli altri uomini, ladri, ingiusti, adùlteri, e neppure come questo pubblicano. 12Digiuno due volte alla settimana e pago le decime di tutto quello che possiedo”. 13Il pubblicano invece, fermatosi a distanza, non osava nemmeno alzare gli occhi al cielo, ma si batteva il petto dicendo: “O Dio, abbi pietà di me peccatore”. 14Io vi dico: questi, a differenza dell’altro, tornò a casa sua giustificato, perché chiunque si esalta sarà umiliato, chi invece si umilia sarà esaltato”.
Gli presentavano anche i bambini piccoli perché li toccasse, ma i discepoli, vedendo ciò, li rimproveravano. 16Allora Gesù li chiamò a sé e disse: “Lasciate che i bambini vengano a me e non glielo impedite; a chi è come loro, infatti, appartiene il regno di Dio. 17In verità io vi dico: chi non accoglie il regno di Dio come l’accoglie un bambino, non entrerà in esso”.
Un notabile lo interrogò: “Maestro buono, che cosa devo fare per avere in eredità la vita eterna?”. 19Gesù gli rispose: “Perché mi chiami buono? Nessuno è buono, se non Dio solo. Tu conosci i comandamenti: Non commettere adulterio, non uccidere, non rubare, non testimoniare il falso, onora tuo padre e tua madre”. 21Costui disse: “Tutte queste cose le ho osservate fin dalla giovinezza”. 22Udito ciò, Gesù gli disse: “Una cosa ancora ti manca: vendi tutto quello che hai, distribuiscilo ai poveri e avrai un tesoro nei cieli; e vieni! Seguimi!”. 23Ma quello, udite queste parole, divenne assai triste perché era molto ricco.
24Quando Gesù lo vide così triste, disse: “Quanto è difficile, per quelli che possiedono ricchezze, entrare nel regno di Dio. 25È più facile infatti per un cammello passare per la cruna di un ago, che per un ricco entrare nel regno di Dio!”. 26Quelli che ascoltavano dissero: “E chi può essere salvato?”. 27Rispose: “Ciò che è impossibile agli uomini, è possibile a Dio”.
28Pietro allora disse: “Noi abbiamo lasciato i nostri beni e ti abbiamo seguito”. 29Ed egli rispose: “In verità io vi dico, non c’è nessuno che abbia lasciato casa o moglie o fratelli o genitori o figli per il regno di Dio, 30che non riceva molto di più nel tempo presente e la vita eterna nel tempo che verrà”.

3 Mon fils, n’oublie pas mon enseignement,
et que ton cœur garde mes commandements,
2 car ils te procureront de longs jours et de longues années de vie,
et une grande paix.
3 Que la bonté et la fidélité ne t’abandonnent jamais :
attache-les à ton cou,
inscris-les sur les tablettes de ton cœur,
4 et tu trouveras grâce et succès,
aux yeux de Dieu et des hommes.
5 Confie-toi en l’Éternel de tout ton cœur,
et ne t’appuie pas sur ta propre intelligence ;
6 reconnais-le dans toutes tes voies,
et il aplanira tes sentiers.
Ne sois pas sage à tes propres yeux ;
crains l’Éternel et détourne-toi du mal ;
ce sera la santé pour ton corps,
et la force pour tes os.
Honore l’Éternel avec tes biens,
et avec les prémices de toutes tes récoltes ;
10 tes greniers seront remplis à ras bord,
et tes cuves regorgeront de vin nouveau. 11Mon fils, ne méprise pas la discipline du Seigneur,
et ne te lasse pas de sa correction,
12car le Seigneur corrige celui qu’il aime,
comme un père le fils qu’il chérit.
Heureux l’homme qui trouve la sagesse,
l’homme qui acquiert l’intelligence !
14Son revenu vaut mieux que l’argent,
et son profit vaut mieux que l’or.
15La sagesse est plus précieuse que tous les joyaux,
et tous vos désirs ne peuvent se comparer à elle.
16La longévité est dans sa main droite,
et dans sa main gauche les richesses et la gloire ;
17Ses voies sont des sentiers de délices,
et tous ses sentiers mènent à la prospérité.
Elle est un arbre de vie pour ceux qui s’y attachent,
et celui qui la serre contre lui est béni.
19Par la sagesse, le Seigneur a fondé la terre,
par l’intelligence, il a établi les cieux ;
20Par sa connaissance, les abîmes se sont ouverts,
et les nuages laissent tomber la rosée. Mon fils, garde la sagesse et la discrétion,
et qu’elles ne s’éloignent jamais de toi.

Éphésiens 6:10-19 (NIV)
Enfin, puisez votre force dans le Seigneur, dans sa grande puissance. Revêtez l’armure que Dieu vous donne, afin de pouvoir tenir ferme contre les ruses du diable. Car il ne faut pas lutter contre des hommes, mais contre les esprits du mal qui viennent des ténèbres, contre les autorités, contre les pouvoirs, contre les dominateurs de ce monde de ténèbres. C’est pourquoi, prenez l’armure que Dieu vous donne, afin de combattre les forces du mal au jour du combat, et de pouvoir résister jusqu’à la fin. C’est pourquoi, tenez-vous prêts ! Que la vérité soit votre ceinture, les œuvres justes votre cuirasse, et que vos sandales soient le zèle pour annoncer la bonne nouvelle de l’Évangile. Saisissez toujours le bouclier de la foi, avec lequel vous pourrez éteindre les flèches enflammées du Malin. Prenez aussi votre casque, qui est le salut, et l’épée du Saint-Esprit, qui est la parole de Dieu. Priez sans cesse : demandez à Dieu son aide en toute occasion et de toute manière, guidés par le Saint-Esprit. Veillez donc et ne vous lassez jamais de prier pour tout le peuple de Dieu, et pour moi aussi. Priez pour que Dieu me donne la force de trouver les mots justes pour faire connaître la vérité de son message.
Luc 18 Il leur raconta une parabole pour leur montrer qu’il faut toujours prier et ne jamais se décourager : 2 « Dans une ville, il y avait un juge qui ne craignait ni Dieu ni les hommes. 3 Il y avait dans cette ville une veuve qui venait sans cesse le trouver et disait : “Rends-moi justice contre mon adversaire.” » 4 Pendant un certain temps, il refusa, mais ensuite il se dit : « Bien que je ne craigne ni Dieu ni les hommes, 5 puisque cette veuve m’importune, je lui rendrai justice, afin qu’elle ne me lasse plus de ses incessantes visites. » 6 Le Seigneur leur dit : « Écoutez ce que dit le juge inique. 7 Dieu ne rendra-t-il pas justice à ses élus, qui crient à lui jour et nuit ? Tardera-t-il à leur venir en aide ? 8 Je vous le dis, il leur rendra justice promptement. Cependant, quand le Fils de l’homme viendra, trouvera-t-il la foi sur la terre ? »
Il adressa aussi cette parabole à certains qui se croyaient justes et méprisaient les autres : 10 « Deux hommes montèrent au temple pour prier ; l’un était pharisien, et l’autre publicain. Le pharisien, debout, priait ainsi en lui-même : “Ô Dieu, je te remercie de ce que je ne suis pas comme les autres hommes, qui sont voleurs, injustes, adultères, ou même comme ce publicain. 12 Je jeûne deux fois par semaine, et je donne la dîme de tout ce que je possède.” 13 Le publicain, se tenant à distance, n’osait même pas lever les yeux au ciel ; mais il se frappait la poitrine, en disant : “Ô Dieu, aie pitié de moi, pécheur !” 14 Je vous le dis, celui-ci descendit chez lui justifié, plutôt que l’autre. Car quiconque s’élève sera abaissé, et quiconque s’abaisse sera élevé. »
Ils lui amenèrent aussi de petits enfants pour qu’il les touche ; mais, voyant cela, les disciples les repoussèrent. 16Alors Jésus les appela et dit : « Laissez venir à moi les petits enfants, et ne les en empêchez pas ; car le royaume de Dieu est à ceux qui leur ressemblent. 17En vérité, je vous le dis, quiconque ne reçoit pas le royaume de Dieu comme un petit enfant n’y entrera point. »
Un chef lui demanda : « Bon Maître, que dois-je faire pour avoir le royaume de Dieu ? »

أفسس 6: 10-19

18 قال لهم مثلًا ليُبيّن لهم ضرورة الصلاة الدائمة وعدم اليأس: 2 «كان في مدينة قاضٍ لا يخشى الله ولا يحترم الناس. 3 وكانت في تلك المدينة أرملة تأتي إليه باستمرار وتقول: أنصفني من خصمي». ٤ فامتنعَ مدةً، ثم قال في نفسه: «مع أنني لا أخشى الله ولا أحترم الناس، ٥ إلا أنني سأنصف هذه الأرملة لأنها تُزعجني، لئلا تُرهقني بكثرة مجيئها». ٦ فقال لهم الرب: «اسمعوا ما يقوله القاضي الظالم. ٧ أفلا يُنصف الله مختاريه الذين يصرخون إليه ليلًا ونهارًا؟ أيُبطئ في إنصافهم؟ ٨ أقول لكم: إنه سيُنصفهم سريعًا. ولكن متى جاء ابن الإنسان، هل سيجد إيمانًا على الأرض؟»
… وضرب هذا المثل أيضًا لبعض الذين يثقون بأنفسهم في أنهم أبرار ويحتقرون الآخرين: ١٠ «صعد رجلان إلى الهيكل للصلاة، أحدهما فريسي والآخر جابي ضرائب. فوقف الفريسي يصلي في نفسه قائلًا: يا الله، أشكرك أني لست كباقي الناس، خاطفين، ظالمين، زناة، ولا حتى مثل جابي الضرائب هذا. ١٢ أصوم مرتين في الأسبوع وأدفع عُشر كل ما أملك. ١٣ أما جابي الضرائب، فوقف بعيدًا، ولم يشأ أن يرفع عينيه إلى السماء، بل كان يقرع صدره قائلًا: يا الله، ارحمني أنا الخاطئ. ١٤ أقول لكم: إن هذا الرجل نزل إلى بيته مُبرَّرًا أكثر من ذاك. لأن كل من يرفع نفسه يُوضع، ومن يضع نفسه يُرفع.»
وأحضروا إليه أطفالًا صغارًا ليلمسهم، فلما رأى التلاميذ ذلك انتهروهم. فدعاهم يسوع إليه وقال: «دعوا الأطفال يأتون إليّ ولا تمنعوهم، لأن لمثل هؤلاء ملكوت الله. الحق أقول لكم: من لم يقبل ملكوت الله كطفل صغير فلن يدخله أبدًا».
وسأله أحد الرؤساء: «يا معلم صالح، ماذا عليّ أن أفعل لأرث ملكوت الله؟»

3 My son, do not forget my teaching
and let your heart keep my commandments,
2 for length of days and years of life
and much peace will bring you.
3 Let not lovingkindness and faithfulness forsake you:
bind them around your neck,
write them on the tablet of your heart,
4and you will find favor and good success
in the sight of God and man.
5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and rely not on your own understanding;
6 In all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will direct your paths.
7 Do not be wise in your own eyes;
fear the Lord and turn away from evil;
it will be health to your body
and strength to your bones.
Honor the Lord with your wealth
and with the firstfruits of all your harvests;
10your barns will be filled beyond measure,
and your vats will overflow with new wine.
11My son, do not despise the Lord’s discipline
and do not be weary of his correction,
12for the Lord disciplines those he loves,
as a father the son he delights in.
Blessed is the man who finds wisdom,
the man who gains insight:
14her income is better than silver,
and her profit is better than gold.
15Wisdom is more precious than any jewel,
and all your desires cannot compare with her.
16Length of days are in her right hand,
and in her left hand are riches and honor;

Finally, draw strength from the Lord, from his great power. Take up the armor that God gives you, to be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we must not fight against human beings, but against evil spirits from the invisible world, against authorities and powers, against the rulers of this world of darkness. Therefore, take up the armor that God gives you, to fight against the forces of evil on the day of battle, and to be able to resist to the end. Therefore, prepare yourselves! Let truth be your belt, righteous works your breastplate, and your sandals be readiness to proclaim the good news of the Gospel. Always hold the shield of faith, with which you can quench the flaming arrows of the Evil One. Also take your helmet, which is salvation, and the sword of the Holy Spirit, which is the word of God. Pray always: ask God for his help on every occasion and in every way, guided by the Holy Spirit. Therefore, stay awake and never tire of praying for all God’s people, and for me too. Pray that God will enable me to find decisive words with which to make known the truth of his message.

18 He told them a parable to the effect that they ought always to pray and not lose heart: 2 “In a certain city there was a judge who neither feared God nor respected man. 3 And there was a widow in that city who kept coming to him and saying, ‘Grant me justice against my adversary.’ 4 For a while he refused, but afterward he said to himself, ‘Though I neither fear God nor respect man, 5 yet because this widow bothers me, I will grant her justice, so that she will not wear me out by her continual coming.'” 6 And the Lord said to them, “Listen to what the unjust judge says. 7 And will not God grant justice to his own elect, who cry out to him day and night? Will he delay long for them? 8 I tell you, he will grant them justice speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?”
He also told this parable to some who trusted in themselves that they were righteous and despised others: 10 “Two men went up into the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself: ‘God, I thank you that I am not like other men—extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even like this tax collector. 12 I fast twice a week and give tithes of all that I get.’ 13 But the tax collector, standing far away, would not even lift up his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me a sinner.’ 14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other. For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but he who humbles himself will be exalted.’
They also brought little children to him that he might touch them; but when the disciples saw it, they rebuked them. 16Then Jesus called them to him and said, “Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them; for to such belongs the kingdom of God. 17Truly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child will never enter it.”
A certain ruler asked him, “Good Teacher, what must I do to have the kingdom of God?”
